Suppressed Lever Action Rifles at PSA The Gathering

Suppressed Lever Action Rifles at PSA The Gathering

Posted by Ranger Point Team on May 12th 2026

The team here at Ranger Point Precision attended Palmetto State Armory’s The Gathering last
month and was honestly caught off guard by the turnout starting Friday morning. Fridays at this
event were usually slower in previous years, but the booth filled in quickly with plenty of people
and some familiar faces. They all shared one thing in common—the uncontrollable urge to
stroke a lever like their daddy never told them it’d make them go blind.

Being parked next to PTR Industries with their intriguing voodoo magic Vent suppressors, we
decided to keep the tone down and run suppressed ourselves. We ran a CMMG Zeroed 30 with
a Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle (LASR) chambered in .300 Blackout, showcasing the
benefit of subsonic ammunition in a closed action system. Our “Foldy Boys,” using our 1913
Grip to attach folding stocks or braces, got some odd looks at first but quietly won the naysayers
over. The Rossi R95 Triple Black Pistol in .357 Magnum paired with a SilencerCo Octane ran
.38 Special, and the 20” .44 Magnum Smith; Wesson 1854 with a PewView Handguard had a
SilencerCo Hybrid 46. Shooting both cowboy loads and full-power cartridges, attendees were
able to not only feel the recoil difference but also hear the change in tone through the
suppressor.

Day two rolled in and the Rossi USA booth looked like it needed some flavor, so RPP and PTR
stepped in like Emiral Legrasse. BAM. We dropped another R95 Triple Black Pistol in .357
Magnum and PTR Industries spun on a Vent 2 9mm suppressor. It was an instant hit, and the
factory R95 sitting next to it started collecting dust while people tried to figure out how they were
even shooting it comfortably before. The funny part was watching people come off the Rossi
shooting line and then immediately shoot the same gun again at ours.

Our Pink and Teal Henry Model X was eventually summoned off the display wall and brought to
the firing line. The way the sun reflecting off the vibrant anodized finish pulled people in from all
directions. You had the “that’s a girl’s gun” crowd, the “it’s 2026, judge if you want” group, and
everyone in between—but they all agreed it was a showstopper. We even had a few “I’ll buy this
for my wife” guys, and we all know how that story ends once they’re back at the range.

All in all, the team had a great time and made it home with the same number of holes we left
with. Huge thank you to Palmetto State Armory for hosting such a great event, Clinton House for
the amazing venue, and all of our partners for showing us love.

This experience confirmed what we here at Ranger Point Precision already knew, lever guns aren’t going anywhere, they’re just getting better.
