The Ranger Point Henry Trigger Kit consists of a sear and a spring. The sear alone will reduce trigger pull weight by 3-4# and make the break much more crisp. Only install the spring if you want a lighter, competition weight trigger.
Note: our testing of the Henry 410 shotgun models revealed a lighter than normal trigger from the factory, and our sear alone reduced pull weight below 3 lbs.
Note: our testing of the Henry Long Ranger rifles revealed that the LR rifles have a lighter spring from the factory so no need to use our spring. Our sear does break crisply at 3.5 lbs.
Most Marlin and Henry factory triggers come with a 5# - 9# trigger pull. Our Marlin and Henry trigger kits uses a different sear angle and a precision cut sear edge to reduce friction and weight by around 2#. To reduce trigger weight even more, you can pair our trigger with a Wolff Reduced Power Hammer Spring which reduces the weight of the hammer by another 1#. Finally, your hammer edge can also be stoned by a professional to remove any grit that is slowing trigger sear slide.
