Designed AR-15 style to replace the Marlin Papoose’s small takedown nut—which requires a wrench—with a free float handguard that acts as a free float forearm, an accessories mount, and a means of tool-less assembly and disassembly.
MADE IN THE USA
* Handguard is machined from aluminum (6061-T6) and is mil spec anodized. Provides a good strength and performance to weight ratio (8" long and weighs only 5oz)
* Steel takedown nut is threaded to allow indexing of the tube and replaces the current takedown nut for tool-less assembly and disassembly of the barrel. The locking collar can be torqued using your factory barrel nut spanner and enables you to index the handguard.
* The handguard is completely free floating once installed. No force is put onto the barrel from slings or bipods that could affect point of aim.
* Thirty-six KeyMod slots, six per side, act as a direct attachment method for standard firearm accessories such as flash light mounts, laser modules, sights, scope mounts, rail panels, slings and bipods.
PLEASE NOTE: To use the free float handguard, you will need to replace your rear sight. We recommend the Williams FP-GR Peep Sight + Williams Fire Sight Bead .375N (both available in online store).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: To remove the Papoose sights, hold the barrel in a padded vice or on a support block. Drift out the front sight post and unscrew the ramp. To remove the rear sight, simply drift out the entire sight from it’s dovetail using a punch.
